The Woollen Mills in for Planning

We are excited to announce the Woollen Mills housing redevelopment project at Dublin’s Ha’penny Bridge, is in for planning.

This project explores and celebrates the new layer of architectural fabric to the Liffey corridor. A concept of drawing over the existing and implementing historical viewpoints over Dublin city.

The ambition from day one was the importance of respecting and retaining the city. The history behind this area is some of the most historic in Dublin. With this in mind, we proposed a modern intervention to consume the rear block of the site, Retaining the existing buildings.

By giving depth to the facade and altering the angle of the vertical walls we introduced a series of stepping planters. These also provide beautiful juliet balconies that have framed views of Dublin City and Bay. The angles of the building are determined by key viewpoints of Dublin.

The primary purpose of the proposed development, on Dublins North Quay, Dublin 1 is to provide high-quality contemporary housing. This seven-story residential project aims to provide seven apartments that will all include three double bedrooms, a generous kitchen dining and living space, and a terrace at every level. The development also offers a communal roof terrace for fantastic views of Dublin.

Through extremely high-quality design, architecture, and interior spaces, the proposal aims to serve both those who use the building on a day-to-day basis and the city at large. We see this as a gift to the future of the city, and to the people who live in it.
