Green light for Seaforth's renovation of Spitalfields House

ODOS Architects are pleased to announce that planning permission has been granted for the
refurbishment of 110-114 Middlesex Street & 1-11 Widegate Street. The vision behind the
development is the London-focused commercial real estate investor Seaforth Land.

The proposed scheme, located a stone’s throw from Liverpool Street Station, will transform the
existing 5-6 storey office building, and will welcome visitors and office users with new retail,
reception and café spaces at ground level. Office workers will also benefit from refurbished office
spaces, roof terraces, a basement bicycle store, and shower and locker facilities.

The building exterior is to be refurbished. Internally, new reception areas have been designed to
become welcoming spaces, not just to pass through, but to dwell, with seating areas and cafes.
The material palate for these spaces has been carefully composed including patinated brass
window frames, charred timber wall linings and newly exposed concrete soffits.
