Senior Project Architect / Team Leader

ODOS Architects are an International Award winning Architecture and Interior Design Studio based in Dublin, London and New York. We have an immediate vacancy for a Senior Project Architect / Team Leader to join our creative and dynamic team.

Job description:

As a Senior team member you will be responsible for the overall development and implementation of a variety of architectural projects of varying scales in a highly design focused environment. This ideal candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Part III qualification essential with excellent knowledge of all types of Irish Building Contracts 
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 5 – 10 years post Part III qualification experience (Senior Project Architect) in the Industry and site experience on medium to large scale developments +€10M
  • Candidates must demonstrate exceptional levels of design ability and be able to sketch ideas to a high level
  • An ability to multi task and manage projects at various work stages is required
  • Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent job running, project and contract administration experience
  • Possess strong communication, management and presentation skills at Senior Level, along with strong graphical skills.
  • Candidates should demonstrate excellent design abilities and be well versed on best practice in both residential and commercial fields
  • It is fundamental that candidates be able to demonstrate a full working knowledge of all relevant 3D software packages including indesign, photoshop, vectorworks and sketch up
  • A Full and working knowledge of all relevant Irish Building and Planning Regulations
  • Full drivers license

 

Part II / Graduate Architect

Location: Dublin Studio, Ireland

 

Job description:

ODOS Architects are seeking a talented, enthusiastic and experienced Part-II Architect to work in our Dublin-based Studio on significant cultural, commercial, hospitality and residential projects.

Working as part of our studio team, you will assist with the development of architectural projects from concept to construction stage. This includes the development of detail design solutions, the preparation of planning and other statutory applications, with the design development of robust technical details, construction drawings and specifications. The Part II Architects' role involves close coordination with the design team throughout the design and construction process.

Candidate Requirements

  • A highly motivated individual with excellent communications skills
  • The ability to efficiently work in all stages of the project and to successfully manage their time to meet agreed project deadlines
  • A good working knowledge of Irish planning policies, building regulations and an understanding of construction detailing
  • The ability to manage several projects concurrently
  • Exceptional Design Skills and ability to sketch and communicate ideas three dimensionally
  • Excellent Detailing capabilities and knowledge of building materials / building specifications
  • Skilled in Vectorworks, along with a good working knowledge of Adobe Indesign and Photoshop, Microsoft Office Software and SketchUp

Interior Designers

Location: Dublin Studio, Ireland

Job description:

This person must be highly organised, have a real passion for interior design and have a high knowledge of the latest developments in the design industry. We are looking for someone who is creative and inspiring, who shows initiative, enjoys working hard and getting involved as much as possible. You will need to be able to work in a very fast paced, highly design focused environment and demonstrate high levels of flexibility. You will have the opportunity to be involved in exciting architectural and interior projects of varying scales both here and abroad. Immediate start based in our Dublin Studio. Attractive Salary package for the right candidate.

Requirements: 

  • Day to Day management and running of interior design projects.
  • Regular liaison with clients and delivering high quality presentations.
  • Sourcing appropriate materials and fabrics and dealing with suppliers.
  • Prepare or review joinery drawings, lighting schemes, electrical layouts for each project.
  • Contribute to the development of specific interior focused office procedures and methods of working.
  • Responsible for tracking the production of all interior design drawings and other information required by the design team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Attending client and site meetings.

Experience:

  • Two years plus experience in residential, commercial and hospitality design.
  • A demonstrable track record of work as a project manager in an interior/architect design environment.
  • A track record of independently developing ideas and presenting them to clients.
  • Knowledge of, and access to, a large array of luxury finishes, fittings, furniture and details.
  • Experience dealing with daily queries from building contractors.
  • Able to prepare concept layouts, sketches and mood-boards for presentation
  • Able to work well in a studio environment and as a member of a team
  • Able to contribute to the team as a whole through the sharing of experience, technical skills and creative direction, suppliers and imagery.

Skills:

  • A Degree or Diploma in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • Vectorworks is essential 
  • SketchUp, InDesign and Adobe Photoshop

 

Architectural Assistants

Location: Dublin Studio, Ireland

ODOS Architects are seeking talented, enthusiastic and experienced Part-I Architectural Assistants to work in our Dublin-based Studio on significant cultural, commercial, hospitality and residential projects.

 

  • Ideally the candidate will have working knowledge of software packages to include Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Vectorworks and Sketchup. Vectorworks is essential.
  • Participate in the architectural design process and develop alternative solutions and presentation graphics used to communicate concepts to clients
  • Assist team to develop project specifications
  • Opportunity to work in a design focused environment
  • Participate in the review of drawing submittals
  • Effective team communications and ad hoc duties as may be assigned
  • Minimum of 3 months experience in a previous Architectural Practice is desirable but not essential. Salary upon request.
